About Yara
I’ve been capturing people, places, and moments for over 15 years. Always chasing the quiet beauty tucked into everyday life. I can’t help but pause and reach for my camera (Honestly, I’m not the fastest person to go on a walk with. I’ll stop every few steps if the light hits just right!).
Photography has always been my way of noticing, of honoring what’s real, fleeting, and worth holding onto. I've never met a patch of moss, tiny mushroom, or person's smile I didn't want to capture with my camera.
I live in a flower-filled cottage in the Pacific Northwest with my two mischievous cats. When I’m not behind the lens, I’m likely tending to my bees, painting, teaching, building curriculum, illustrating and co-authoring our children's books about consent and body safety, or advocating for human rights. My work, in every form, is about connection, care, and seeing the beauty in what’s right in front of us.

About Carrie
Every creative idealist needs a grounded genius behind the scenes, and that’s Carrie Ferguson. We met while teaching at a K–8 school and we've been collaborating ever since, as educators, curriculum creators, and now photography partners.
Carrie is the reason your session gets scheduled, your gallery goes out on time, and your images get the care they deserve. While I’m chasing the light, Carrie’s managing the inbox and keeping everything beautifully on track. She's the spreadsheet to my mood board, and honestly, I couldn't do this without her.
When she's not wrangling calendars and making my creative life possible, Carrie loves to crochet, garden, cheer on the Portland Thorns, co-author our children's books and curriculum, and help students discover what they’re capable of. She brings heart, humor, and a magical ability to make things happen, and I'm so lucky to have her!
