Hi, I'm Yara!

I’ve been capturing people, places, and moments for over 15 years. Always chasing the quiet beauty tucked into everyday life. I can’t help but pause and reach for my camera (Honestly, I’m not the fastest person to go on a walk with. I’ll stop every few steps if the light hits just right!).

I LOVE photography. Love it. Literally everything about it.  I love meeting people, especially those who are nervous about being in front of a camera, and by putting them at ease, and then seeing their essence come to the surface and tell their story in a series of moments. I also love the editing process and get obsessive over building a gallery page for you that is cohesive and beautiful.

When I’m not behind the lens, I’m likely hanging with my cats, tending to my bees, painting, teaching, building curriculum, illustrating and co-authoring our children's books about consent and body safety, or advocating for human rights. My work, in every form, is about connection, joy, and seeing the beauty in what’s right in front of us.
