Hi, I'm Yara!

I’ve been photographing people, places, and moments for over 15 years.


I LOVE photography. Love it. Literally everything about it.  I love meeting people, especially those who are nervous about being in front of a camera, and putting them at ease, then seeing their essence come to the surface and tell their story in a series of moments. I also love the editing process and get obsessive over building a gallery page for you that is cohesive and beautiful.


When I’m not behind the lens, I’m likely hanging with my cats, tending to my bees, painting, teaching, building curriculum, illustrating and co-authoring children's books about consent and body safety, or advocating for human rights. My work, in every form, is about connection and beauty.
